As part of the exhibition “What does it mean to come from Moncton?”, we are pleased to present an enchanting evening of music and poetry on Friday, June 20, 2025, featuring the wind quintet Ventus Machina, soprano Christina Haldane, and Halifax-based composer Jérôme Blais.
The evening will showcase six movements from Blais’ evocative project mouvance, highlighting the words of Gérald Leblanc, Herménégilde Chiasson, Gabriel Robichaud, and Serge Patrice Thibodeau.
The event will also feature live readings by poets Jo-Anne Elder and Jean-Philippe Raîche.
This unique performance blends contemporary classical music with Acadian literary heritage, offering a powerful and immersive artistic experience.
