Fun, lively, and full of humour, Vaudeville! is a little known piece by the well known Canadian composer Lothar Klein. It was composed for six musicians: the standard woodwind quintet, plus a featured soprano saxophone. To take advantage of this unique grouping, this program adds two premieres: a brand new work by New Brunswick composer Sophie Dupuis, and another work by Robert Lemay. Rounding out the program are the beloved Mladi by Leos Janaček, and another piece inspired by the theatre, Scaramouche by Darius Milhaud.
